BREATH,  LOVE,  HEAL

A journey of transformation through self-discovery, vulnerability and growth, through the lens of motherhood.

Hello and welcome to a little corner of my world—a place where I embrace vulnerability, raw honesty, and the unfiltered reality of life as a modern woman, mother, and wifey. Here, I share my honest reflections of my personal journey from maiden to mother,  from being overwhelmed to peace and chaos to stillness.

My hope is that as you read, you feel seen, understood, and a little less alone- a community where your experiences are honoured, your emotions are valid, and our paths intertwine in shared growth and healing.

I'm Erika- A Melbourne-based Hispanic Mama to two beautiful girls, Sofia (11) and Olivia (7), and wifey to an incredible man who has stood by me through the most vulnerable moments. He's been my safe haven, the one who has helped me soften and surrender to all the chaos life brings. But let me tell you, it didn’t happen overnight. It's been a journey for us both- one filled with lessons, growth and a whole lot of trial and error. This big girl and parenthood gig ain’t easy! (But I’ll  leave this story for another blog, which will be a nice long one!)

I’m a qualified Holistic Wellness Coach, passionate in educating and guiding women through their journey of self-discovery, balance, and inner healing.

Through breathwork, nervous system regulation, and energetic and somatic practices, I help women release stored stress, reconnect with their bodies, and cultivate a sense of safety and peace within themselves. I aim to create beautiful nurturing spaces where women can heal, grow, and step into their most authentic selves. This is our birthright! The foundation of who we are in today’s society- and the first step required, towards true inner healing and transformation.

So why a blog, you ask?

So many reasons! Let's be real—being a woman and a mother in today’s society is A LOT. Too much at times! One minute, you’re rocking life at the club, travelling around the world, single, kid-less and the next, you’re questioning everything while reheating your coffee and changing your 5th dirty nappy. I’ve been there, I promise you I have!

This whole 'being a human' thing is a wild ride- one that no one really prepares you for. I've felt the confusion, discomfort, overwhelm, the exhaustion, the fatigue, the "holy sh*t, am I doing this right? Is there more to life?" moments and everything in between.

And if I've learned anything, it's that we are not meant to do this alone, nor in silence.

I began this blog as an extension of my own journal writing- a place where I poured out my raw, honest reflections on the challenges of womanhood and motherhood because this journey is far from easy. As I reflected, I realised I only had one close friend who openly shared her own feelings with me. "I mean seriously- who else feels this way?” was my thought.

In my practice, I’ve met so many women struggling through these challenges alone, and it’s clear to me that there aren’t many wellness pages that address this topic in depth. Unless, of course, you’re following mummy bloggers who speak about the harsh reality of motherhood (the real ones). I feel these deeper, more honest struggles deserve some attention and support.

As a mother, wife, and mentor, I’ve experienced the beauty and the chaos, the joy and the struggles, the pain and the freedom.

In fact, I'm still on this roller coaster ride- the difference is, I now have the tools to help me navigate the chaos. Through my own healing and self-discovery, I realised how often we navigate these challenges in silence, feeling alone in our experiences and often depleted. It does not have to be this way!

This blog is my way of helping break that silence. It’s a place where I share some unspoken truths, the yucky, messy moments, and the beautiful and hard lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Whether it’s navigating nervous system regulation, somatic healing, or simply discussing the everyday highs and lows of being a woman and mother. It’s a safe space where I talk about the things most of us feel and think but don’t always say out loud.

I hope you read something here and think, ‘Wow, I feel that.

Or maybe that you laugh or even shed a tear. A safe space where my story helps you resonate and you find hope in knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Even when you have no idea what on earth you're doing or what you truly want.

My content is created to help you feel less alone, grounded, connected and confident in navigating the complexities of life as a woman and mother.

Whether you're managing the daily chaos of work-life balance and motherhood or just looking for a space to relate and grow, I'm here to share tools and insights that will support your journey and well-being.

Through a blend of personal experience, holistic practical tools, and resources, I aim to provide information that empowers you to embrace your true self. From regulating your nervous system, breathing techniques, and meditation journeys to embracing the chaos and beauty of modern womanhood, each post aims to offer you something to take with you to live more mindfully and authentically.

I want you to know that your feelings are valid.

So to the many women who feel alone in a world where expectations are overwhelming and societal pressures demand perfection, know that your feelings are valid. Balancing the roles of career, family, and personal well-being can often lead to feelings of isolation and inadequacy.

It’s important to recognise that these challenges are shared by not just you but many women around the world. Seeking support is a sign of strength and a necessary step towards your healing journey. By connecting with others and sharing our own experiences, we can navigate these pressures with compassion and find peace, healing and connection.

And finally …

To modern women and mothers navigating the constant and mundane pace of today's society… I feel you, see you, and hear you. This blog is for you

With love,
Erika.
